Description
This painting is about the feeling of wanting to break free, to move forward and leave behind whatever has been holding you back.
I see a lot of myself in this horse. That restless energy, the need to keep moving, and the strength you sometimes don’t even realize you have until life pushes you to find it.
The bold blues and oranges capture a sky in the middle of changing, while the horse’s flowing mane adds to that feeling of movement and freedom.
In the background, I used silhouettes of real fallen leaves that I collected during my morning walks, spray-painted onto the canvas.
For me, Untethered Spirit is about finding the courage to keep going, even when things get difficult. It’s a reminder that sometimes the greatest feeling of freedom comes after you’ve made it through something you thought you couldn’t.
